Ah, the classic summer wedding. Historically, it’s always been the most popular season to get married, in part due to the warm weather and abundance of greenery. And every year, Vogue publishes a number of idyllic nuptials that take place from June through early September.
Sometimes those are in perennial American vacation spots like Nantucket or The Hamptons; other times, they’re abroad in European hotspots like St. Tropez or Capri. There are those held at family homes, and those held at iconic hotels. Many couples embrace a traditional aesthetic with white lace dresses and hydrangeas, while others prefer to break the mold—like one couple who held a minimalist wedding in Greece, with a dress code inspired by Calvin Klein ads from the ’90s. Yet all of them have the same thing in common: embracing the outdoors, sunshine, and natural scenery.

Olivia Culpo always knew she wanted a traditional wedding in her home state of Rhode Island. She and Christian McCaffrey decide to hold a classic New England wedding in late June at the Ocean House, a historic resort in Watch Hill.

Anisha Ford and Robert Kunkel held an East-meets-West wedding at the bride’s family home in Seal Harbor, Maine. “We knew we wanted a wedding that could tell our 10-year love story—a blended wedding that honored the Hindu culture that I was raised in and that my family still practices—and that we wanted to get married at the house,” Anisha said.

Christie Ward and Sharif Zubi held a July elopement in Ischia with just their families. It began with swimming in the Tyrrhenian Sea and ended with a “limoncello-fueled dinner” that went well into the night. “It was a perfect day for us,” said Christie.

Carly Cucco and Austin Barnard wed in Capri during the summer of 2026. Their wedding weekend began with a welcome dinner at the island’s famous lemon tree restaurant, Ristorante Da Paolino.

On their tenth anniversary, Teresa Dilger and Yesim Ak decided to throw a wedding on their favorite Greek island of Milos. Inspired by ’90s Calvin Klein ads, they decided on a minimalist wedding aesthetic. “We asked our friends to wear slip dresses or button-down shirts,” says Yesim. “We knew it was going to be hot, and we wanted our friends to dance the night away feeling sexy.”

Henrietta Rix and Ronan Keenan’s July wedding was an informal yet classic English garden party at the blue-plaqued Rix house. The grounds were adorned the grounds with urns sourced from antique fairs around the United Kingdom and wheelbarrows were filled with ice-cold beer.

Tatiana Hambro and Walter Graham Arader held their August wedding at the bride’s family home in the Cotswolds. The farm landscape doubled as decor: “We got married during the harvest, so had scattered hay bales that comfortably sat three, inviting guests to sit and chat,” Hambro said.

Elif Erguvan and Quinten Richardson held an August wedding at Château d’Estoublon in Provence. “I grew up spending most of my summers in the South of France, specifically in the village of Mougins, where my family has had a home for close to 20 years,” Quinten said. “After many trips to Mougins together, Elif and I knew we wanted to have our wedding somewhere in the region.”
